Kaniko'o (Rice Camp II)

Rice Camp II is a new construction project completed in 2017 that created 30 affordable housing units for the community of Lihue, Kauai. The second phase of the Rice Camp project is centrally located near services, entertainment, and transportation lines. Rice Camp II is comprised of 24 1-bedroom units and 6 2-bedroom units within a 1.6-acre lot. The units are available to those who make 50% or less of the Area Median Income (AMI).

Residents have open access to the 3,200 square feet community center at the adjacent Rice Camp Senior Housing project, including a large multi-purpose room and kitchen for community events, daily activities and get-togethers. The expansion has a spacious court yard with two raised garden boxes and outdoor tables for residents’ enjoyable use. Rice Camp II is LEED Platinum Certified. Other site amenities include laundry rooms and 16 on-site surface parking spaces.
